Extended Warranty – Terms & Conditions (Gate Motor)
The following terms and conditions apply to the additional 1-year extended warranty provided on gate motor systems, in addition to the standard 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
1. Eligibility
To qualify for the additional 1-year extended warranty (total 3-year coverage from installation date), the following conditions must be met:
The gate motor must be serviced and inspected by Integrated Aluminium at least once every 12 months from the original installation date.
Proof of service (e.g. invoices) must be retained and provided upon request.
The system must be installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
2. Warranty Coverage
The extended warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of the gate motor under normal use and operating conditions.
3. Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
Damage caused by insect or vermin infestation.
Damage caused by water ingress, flooding, or exposure to excessive moisture.
Damage resulting from operator misuse, negligence, or improper operation (whether intentional or unintentional).
Impact damage, including but not limited to vehicles or other objects striking the gate or motor.
Electrical damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, or unstable power supply.
Normal wear and tear, including consumable components (e.g. batteries, remotes, fuses).
Damage caused by unauthorised modifications, repairs, or tampering with the system.
Faults arising from incorrect installation by parties other than the original installer or an authorised technician.
Cosmetic damage that does not affect the operation of the motor.
Issues arising from environmental conditions such as corrosion in coastal or harsh environments, unless otherwise specified.
4. Service Requirements
Annual servicing must include inspection, testing, adjustment, and lubrication of moving components, as well as safety checks of the automation system.
Failure to carry out the required annual service will void the extended warranty.
5. Claim Process
Any warranty claim must be reported promptly upon discovery of a fault.
The supplier reserves the right to inspect the equipment to determine the cause of failure before approving any claim.
Proof of installation date and service history must be provided.
6. Remedy
At its discretion, the supplier will repair or replace defective parts or components covered under this warranty.
Labour, travel, and access costs may be excluded unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Limitation of Liability
The supplier shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of access, or property damage arising from gate motor failure.
Workmanship Guarantee – Terms & Conditions (7 Years)
This Workmanship Guarantee is provided by Integrated Aluminium and applies to products fabricated and manufactured by the company.
1. Guarantee Period
Integrated Aluminium provides a seven (7) year workmanship guarantee from the date of installation, ensuring that all products are fabricated and installed to a high standard of quality and durability.
2. Scope of Guarantee
This guarantee covers defects arising from:
Faulty workmanship during fabrication or installation
Manufacturing defects in products produced by Integrated Aluminium
The purpose of this guarantee is to provide assurance that all supplied products meet industry standards and are fit for their intended use under normal conditions.
3. Assessment of Defects
Any reported defect will be subject to inspection by Integrated Aluminium or its authorised representative.
The cause of the defect will be determined prior to any remedial action being approved.
Rectification will only be carried out where the issue is deemed to be a result of defective workmanship or fabrication.
4. Remedies
Where a valid claim is accepted, Integrated Aluminium will, at its discretion:
Repair the defective component; or
Replace the defective component; or
Rectify the workmanship issue
Remedial works will be limited to the affected area or component only.
5. Exclusions
This workmanship guarantee does not cover:
Damage occurring after installation caused by third parties, whether intentional or unintentional
Impact damage, misuse, neglect, or abuse of the product
Normal wear and tear, including surface finishes and coatings subject to environmental exposure
Damage caused by environmental conditions, including but not limited to corrosion (especially in coastal or harsh environments), storms, flooding, or extreme weather events
Movement, settlement, or structural changes in the building or substrate to which the product is fixed
Failure resulting from lack of maintenance or improper care
Alterations, modifications, or repairs carried out by parties other than Integrated Aluminium without prior written approval
Minor cosmetic imperfections that do not affect the structural integrity or functionality of the product
6. Maintenance Requirements
The product must be maintained in accordance with recommended care and maintenance guidelines.
Failure to reasonably maintain the product may void this guarantee.
7. Claim Process
All claims must be submitted in writing within a reasonable timeframe after the defect becomes apparent.
Proof of purchase and installation date must be provided.
Access must be granted for inspection and any required remedial works.
8. Limitations
This guarantee is limited to the repair or replacement of defective workmanship only and does not cover any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of use, inconvenience, or associated costs.
Labour, access equipment, or transport costs may be excluded unless otherwise stated in writing.
9. Transferability
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser unless otherwise agreed in writing by Integrated Aluminium.
